Magnet systems - Permanent magnets in the housing

IN FLAT AND CYLINDRICAL DESIGN

Due to their design, magnetic systems with a steel casing only have one holding surface, while the other surfaces of the system body do not exert any significant magnetic force. This limits the spatial effect of the magnetic field. This prevents unwanted magnetization of the workpiece or the machine elements that are connected to the magnetic system. Exceptions to this are cylindrical systems with a magnetic core made of SmCo or NdFeB with a brass housing.
